The Life Skills Department encourages self-epression, socialization and integration in the community for developmentally disabled adults. Each student is offered a stimulating and positive environment in which to explore his or her creative potential.
LIFE SKILLS DEPARTMENT MISSION STATEMENT
It is the mission of the Life Skills Department of The Creative Center to uphold the ideals of fostering self-expression, self-worth, personal growth and independence through a well-rounded spectrum of Life Skills courses and community integration that encourages students to develop their highest individual level of independent living. The personal contribution of each student and staff member is recognized as a valuable and integral part of the whole program.
The Life Skills Department supports this mission through its commitment to the principles of innovation, encouragement, dignity, responsibility, integrity, and excellence. By continually striving toward a deeper insight and understanding of our students and each other, we cultivate and nurture an environment of creativity, interdependence and growth.
