The Creative Center, a Day Training Activity Center in Visalia, serving adults with developmental disabilities, seeks creative, organized, result-driven individuals with a passion for this community for the following positions:

The Creative Center is now taking applications for the following positions:

 

-Program Manager

Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Program Manager is responsible for the daily program. The Program Manager is the liaison with the client’s homes, Central Valley Regional Center and other agencies. Duties include helping to develop and maintain a quality program; developing knowledge of regulations to keep the program in compliance at all times; and administering all paperwork and record keeping in relation to the program and instructional staff. Represent the Creative Center at various functions and may be a member of professional organizations.

-Instructor of Performing Arts

Under the direct supervision of the Performing Arts Department Head, this position is responsible for creating, planning, and implementing performing arts curriculum. Responsibilities include tracking student progress and following through on behavioral management techniques and other objectives. Duties include supervision of students at activity, break and lunch periods as assigned. This position requires an understanding of The Creative Center philosophy toward its clients and adherence to that philosophy in observing their rights and individual needs.

-Substitute Instructors

Under the direct supervision of the session instructor(s), the Instructional Aid will assist the instructor to support clients with special education needs to reach their full potential. Responsibilities include implementing instructors plans, assist with session room attendance, behavior observations, and implementing lesson plans. Duties include supervision of clients at activity, break and lunch periods as assigned. This position requires an understanding of The Creative Center philosophy towards the students and adherence to that philosophy in observing their rights and individual needs.
