Michael began attending The Creative Center in 1998 at the age of 40. Michael is extremely politically aware by keeping up with current events and using his artistic talent as a means to “discuss” his opinions with the rest of the world. He also has a passion for old horror movies featuring Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff.
Michael is an accomplished artist in several mediums. In the past, he worked primarily with marker, watercolor, pen and ink, recently exploring creating art digitally.
Michael’s prolific style can be described as “abstract realism”. His work is influenced by art from the late Renaissance era, Italian Mannerism, and he pulls ideas from history, church, current events, and movies. his art hangs in private collections throughout the state.
In addition to playing a vital role in our Visual Arts Department, Michael can also be seen on stage, acting in our Performing Arts Department shows.
